It can be to provide healthiest food for family, to decorate a sweet home or simply to relax as a hobby. This is even better if achieved with friends and neighbors. We thus want to provide a friendly platform for a Greener Community. Together- We Grow<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We aim to create a Happy Home Farming Community<\/strong>. We offer many learning modules, practical tips and peers support to help you grow. We provide easy access to equip you with material needed to plant. We love to see the smile on satisfied farmers with their Healthier, Bigger and Better crops. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Both the founders are Passionate about growing food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the founder, was born in a farming family and growing up in a small town in Malaysia. During his childhood in 70s, he has started to join family members in agriculture activities and had 1st hand experienced the hardship and plight of farmers. He could still remember vividly from his seniors on their dilemma in using various inorganic fertilizers and\/or pesticides for better yield. Thus, it was not a surprise for him to drop farming and left his hometown for Singapore, for a “GREENER” pasture, which means nothing green and non-agriculture. And he has not been planting anything for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast forward to 2020, when Covid struck Singapore, it suddenly became difficult to buy fresh vegetable product. The founder started to grow his own vegetable for family. In order to get better in planting heathier crops, to achieve higher yield and in the organic way, he started to learn from others. He joined short courses and spent many hours researching online. This journey was hard but re-connected him with agriculture. He was happy to re-discover his inner passion for growing and felt he could do more to share with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purple Cloud was formed in 2021. The company aims to provide a one stop platform<\/strong> for Home Farmers to connect with each other, to encourage learning\/sharing of experience among Home Farming community, to promote and support Home farming<\/strong> activities among members in the community, to offer a focused and efficient market place<\/strong> for Home farmers to source for their materials and to trade their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a Mum to 2 growing up teenagers, I am very particular about my family’s dietary intake. I want to be sure that the food I prepared is always nutritious. Fresh vegetables and fruits are part of our daily choice.
We never had issue of having enough supply from Supermarkets or Store in Singapore, until Covid struck us here in 2020. For months, we were unable to get good quality fresh food as before. Fortunately, we were able to rely on Online delivery purchases. but there were only limited choices and prices were sky high.
I was glad that we started to grow some vegetables at home then and this had supplemented our dietary need for months. It was difficult at the beginning as we were not sure how to plant and dreaded by the different tasks. Luckily we had friends whom we could learned from and they had supported us with tips and advices. Soon, the joy of our 1st leafy green harvest gave us the confidence and we were experimenting different crops. This is now more than a hobby and we want to make it our business to share with more people.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
